The Wolfman

Double Negative used Image Metrics' Faceware software in-house to animate a stone effigy of the main character's mother in the film, The Wolfman. This is the first project using Image Metrics' Faceware software.

“The stone effigy shot in The Wolfman was one of the most challenging effects in the show. It was necessary to capture a performance, with lip sync, apply that to a CG model and integrate that with other animation and simulations to create a seamless whole that could be composited into the plate. The animation and geometry created had to be extremely clean to enable the simulation of gore effects to be applied on top. Image Metrics were able to supply robust animation data as a foundation that enabled Double Negative to complete the effect.”
